Who We Are
The women of Alpha Chi Omega are committed to the development of scholarship, philanthropy, leadership, and character. We work to see the unique differences in all our members, because after all, our differences are what make us who we are. We are Real. Strong. Women. who find our strength both within ourselves and through our sisters. We have nearly 200 sisters who will stand by your side, cheer you on, and push you to be the best version of yourself while maintaining your authenticity.

Our History
Our founders chose our name intentionally. "Alpha" is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and represents our creation as the first musical sorority, "Omega" is the last letter of the Greek alphabet and declares that we will also be the last musical sorority. "Chi" means and, which in short makes our name "first and last." We were founded by seven women with the intention of empowering women at DePauw University on October 15, 1885. Our chapter - the Alpha Chi chapter - was founded at Butler University in 1925.
